Start screen items
Based on Start Screen tiles on Windows Phone, as shown in Figure , instead of rotating icons as handy apps, tiles are apps that can display dynamic information and allow conversation on the start screen. Give A tile can directly display information, such as text messages, news or photos. If the user needs more information, the tile can be tapped, and the app is enlarged to take up the full screen.

The tiles are square or rectangular. The user can select how large a tile can be. This is helpful because it allows the user to create a visual sense of preference in the tiles.

Similarly for Android, Windows Phone apps don’t stay on the Start screen. They can be pinned or unpinned without the device being installed.
